Stockholm

Stockholm is a city shaped by water, architecture and the changing Nordic light. Moving between historic streets, contemporary waterfronts and quiet winter landscapes, this ongoing photographic series captures different moods of the city throughout the seasons.

Along Stockholm’s waterfront, the city seems to exist twice: once in the façades that line the shore, and again in their reflections on the water. Historic buildings, softened by natural light, become shifting shapes and colours on the surface below. These quieter moments reveal a different side of the city, where architecture, water and light come together in an ever-changing composition.

As daylight fades, Stockholm takes on a different character. The warm glow of illuminated windows contrasts with the cool tones of the evening sky, while historic silhouettes and contemporary architecture share the same waterfront. Light gradually becomes the defining element of the urban landscape, transforming familiar buildings into patterns of colour and reflection. By nightfall, the city reveals another identity, shaped as much by its lights as by the architecture itself.
